AMAZE is a 1-hour-long unique audiovisual experience created by ID&T, leaders in the Dutch festival industry. This walk-through (or roll-through!) 7-stage experience takes you through a 3,000 square metre warehouse with interactive sounds and lights. AMAZE is loud, colourful, futuristic and interactive — making it a must see in Amsterdam.
Please note: The AMAZE experience contains rapidly flashing lights and vivid colours. This may not be suitable for visitors with photosensitive epilepsy.
Accessibility
The main entrance is not accessible due to several steps. To enter as a wheelchair user, contact the museum in advance (via the contact form) or ask a member of staff on-site to allow you to enter via a side entrance. The side entrance leads directly to the lockers, is threshold free, and has a wide doorway suitable for all wheelchairs.
The doorway leading from the locker area to the first room has a threshold of approximately 5 cm high. If needed, staff can bring out a metal ramp to place over the threshold.
The entire AMAZE experience is located on the ground floor
Ramps where needed, except in the final space as a staircase leads you back to the exit. Please ask a member of staff in the interactive space (where the swings are) to open a door in this space that takes you to the cafe/ bar
Part of the touch screen in the room where you can control the lights and sounds is too high (thus out of reach) for wheelchair users
Accessible toilet with grab rails (please ask a member of staff as it is in an adjacent space)
Free entrance for wheelchair chaperone
