National Opera & Ballet

The National Opera & Ballet is housed in Amsterdam’s Stopera building along the canals. For information about upcoming performances and ticket prices, visit the National Opera & Ballet website. For further details about the venue’s accessibility, visit the Opera & Ballet’s accessibility page.

Booking a wheelchair space
Both the big hall and small hall (Studio Boekman) are wheelchair accessible. The big hall has 4 wheelchair spaces, while Studio Boekman has 1. These wheelchair spaces are not listed on the website — this is to make sure these spaces remain free for wheelchair users. There are several moveable seats in the big hall that can be moved next to a wheelchair seat (see photos below). These seats next to the wheelchair spaces are also always available in case wheelchair users would like to attend the concert with another visitor.

If you would like to book a wheelchair space, please call the National Opera & Ballet via +31 (0) 20 625 54 55.
