Amsterdam is a vibrant city with a variety of wheelchair-friendly things to see and do. The I amsterdam City Card is the perfect choice for exploring the city's top sights, providing unlimited public transportation access and free or discounted entry to a range of museums, theatres, activities and experiences. Below, you'll find an overview of some of the wheelchair-friendly things you can do with the I amsterdam City Card.
What is the I amsterdam City Card?
The I amsterdam City Card (or City Card for short) gives you access to a range of Amsterdam’s attractions and activities for free or at a significant discount. The City Card can be ordered for 24 hours (€60), 48 hours (€85), 72 hours (€100), 96 hours (€115) and 120 hours (€125).
The City Card can be purchased as a physical card and picked up at the I amsterdam shop in Amsterdam Central Station. Alternatively, you can choose to buy a digital City Card. Both options are available online.
Once you have your City Card, you’ll need to activate it. The digital card can be activated in the app. The physical card is activated from the moment you first use it. To use your City Card, show your card on arrival at an attraction, and scan it on a card reader when you enter and exit public transportation.
What is included in the I amsterdam City Card?
The City Card provides access to over 70 museums and top attractions in Amsterdam. It also includes access to canal cruises, full day bicycle rentals, and more. For as long as your City Card is valid, it will provide free use of public transportation in Amsterdam – covering the city’s tram, bus, metro and ferry system.
